This session will take the vast understanding about how the brain learns and behaves and incorporate it into everyday interactions, instruction, interventions, and the daily routines of our classrooms. The neurological factors that allow the brain to learn to its potential and regulate behavior and emotion are vital to instructional and behavioral practices in our schools and homes. This session will challenge some of the "standard" practices for working with students with Autism and help create a dialogue to begin changing some of the outdated mindsets still found in education today.
