Teaching Foundational O&M Concepts for Seamless School-to-Community Transfer - 34657

This training session is designed to help Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists improve how they teach foundational O&M skills that students learn in school and later use in the community. The training will include interactive discussions, hands-on activities, a short community walk, and time to develop teaching strategies that support skill transfer. Participants will leave with practical tools and lesson ideas that can be used immediately with students of various ages and abilities. This session addresses Special Education Self-Assessment indicators 7, 6,18, and 23.
