Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) Team Training - 29519
The mission of PBIS is to build the capacity of schools to educate all students, especially students with challenging behaviors, by adopting a sustained, positive, preventative, and effective instructional approach to school-wide discipline and behavior management. Campus teams will be provided the PBIS research-based school-wide implementation training. This training will focus on using data to identify and create guidelines for success and school-wide behavior rules, expectations, and positive reinforcement systems. The campus PBIS team will create a comprehensive action plan tailored to specific campus needs.
This training is designed for PBIS teams looking to start the implementation of PBIS.
Audiences
Assistant Principals, Charter School Personnel, Principals, Teacher - General Education, Teacher - Special Education, Counselors, Instructional Leaders, Teacher - Elementary (Grades 1-5), Teacher - High School (Grades 9-12), Teacher - Middle School (Grades 6-8), Teacher Supervisors
Prerequisite/Special Notes
This is a team training and participants must attend as a PBIS team. An administrator is required to participate with the team, and each member of the campus team must complete the PBIS Overview Canvas Course prior to the date of training.
Objectives
The objective is to train the campus team on implementing PBIS in a school-wide setting.
