The Power of Productive Struggle in Mathematics (K-2) Satellite Session – Hosted in Gainesville ISD - 25551
How can we empower young learners to develop perseverance and deep mathematical understanding? In this session, we will explore the power of productive struggle—a key component of effective math instruction. Drawing on research, we will discuss strategies to create learning environments where students engage in meaningful problem-solving, persist through challenges, and build confidence in their mathematical thinking. Participants will engage in deliberate practice, analyze classroom scenarios, and leave with practical tools to implement productive struggle strategies in their K-2 classrooms.
