Pyramid Model Preschool Training Series: Addressing Challenging Behavior - 37613

In this hands-on, interactive session, educators will deepen their capacity to understand, prevent, and respond effectively to student behaviors through a function-based approach. Participants will analyze real-world scenarios by identifying Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence (ABC) sequences, conducting ABC observations to determine behavioral functions, and interpreting completed Functional Assessment Interviews. Together, we will examine classroom practices to celebrate strengths and target areas for growth, transform deficit-based thinking into strength-based perspectives, and equip educators to respond using three essential management practices alongside personalized neutralizing routines. Finally, participants will collaborate to brainstorm prevention strategies, replacement skills, and tailored response plans, while highlighting the vital role families play throughout the individualized intervention process.
