In this session, we will explore a range of individual differences, including variations in contextual settings, language, economic background, learning styles, and abilities. We will examine how these factors may influence academic, emotional, and social development and discuss strategies for designing interventions that address the specific needs of each student. 22 TAC 463.35(a)(1)--Requirements for Professional Development
(a) Minimum Professional Development Hours Required:
(1) A licensee must complete 40 hours of professional development during each renewal period that they hold a license. The 40 hours of professional development must include 6 hours in cultural diversity or competency.
Objectives
By the end of the session, participants will demonstrate at least two contextual consideration strategies through case study analysis to effectively support students from diverse backgrounds.
