Leaving a Clear Trail - Special Education Graduation - 36407
Graduation decisions matter. This full-day, in-person training equips educators with the knowledge and tools needed to confidently navigate graduation requirements for students receiving special education services under the Foundation High School Program.
Participants will engage in learning focused on state curriculum and assessment requirements tied to graduation (TAC Chapter 74); special education graduation rules and ARD Committee responsibilities; practical options for substitutions, exemptions, and individualized decision-making; TSDS/PEIMS reporting, Graduation Type Codes, and transcript accuracy; Personal Graduation Plans; and CCMR pathways for students receiving special education services.
District teams, including PEIMS, counselors, CCMR/CTE leaders, and special education leaders, are strongly encouraged to attend to strengthen local graduation practices and ensure clear, consistent communication and documentation.
