The Lexia LETRS® (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) Suite is a comprehensive professional learning opportunity designed to provide educators and administrators an opportunity to learn the skills needed to master the fundamentals of foundational reading instruction—phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and written language. Target Audience (Elementary and Secondary): Reading Interventionists; Instructional Coaches; Providers of Dyslexia Instruction (PDI); Special Education Resource/Self-Contained Teachers; Literacy Coach/Specialists; Reading Specialists; Teachers These sessions align with the FAPE and Intervention component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Prerequisite/Special Notes
Letter of support on file with ESC Region 11. Prior completion of LETRS Units 1 & 2.
Objectives
By the end of the certification process, educators and administrators will gain a deeper knowledge of literacy and language needed to make instructional decisions and program choices with reference to scientific research evidence. They will also connect knowledge with instruction which will help them to realize their power for change.
