PBIS TEAM Cohort 2025-2026 - 35775

The mission of PBIS is to build the capacity of schools by adopting a sustained, positive, preventative, and effective instructional approach to school-wide discipline and behavior management. These sessions will provide an overview of the PBIS framework, behavior and academic Response to Intervention connections, examine effective PBIS team member roles and responsibilities, and identify leadership implementation next steps. PBIS district and campus teams will focus on using data to identify and create guidelines for success as well as school-wide behavior rules, expectations, and positive reinforcement systems. Participating teams will be provided the following TIER Network training pathways: PBIS (online pre-work), Universal Examples of PBIS, Targeted PBIS, Intensive PBIS,PBIS Implementation, Supporting Student Mental Health, Creating an MTSS Problem Solving Team and ISF Intro. Teams will also participate in a work session. These sessions align with the FAPE and Intervention component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Objectives
By the end of the cohort, teams will understand MTSS / PBIS and how they work in concert to make schools more effective, recognize the purpose of PBIS within each tier: universal, targeted, and intensive, and gather and analyze data to determine how to implement the PBIS framework within a campus/district.
