This session will explore the updated TEA Autism Supplement Guidance Document and unpack the Commissioner’s Rule (19 TAC §89.1055) through practical examples, compliance tips, and common pitfalls. Participants will walk through each of the 11 required considerations—from extended educational programming to staff training and teaching strategies—using real-world scenarios to apply guidance around documentation, data sources, and decision-making. This session is aligned with the IEP Content and Development and Instructional Strategies components of the TEA-required self-assessment.
