EB Campus Leader Academy Session 2: EB Program Implementation - 35510

This four-part academy series is designed specifically for campus administrators seeking to expand their leadership toolkit and build capacity in emergent bilingual education. The academy provides a comprehensive overview of key topics essential to enhancing Bilingual and ESL programs. Each session offers a focused opportunity to deepen understanding and develop skills critical to leading and improving emergent bilingual initiatives. Session 2: Emergent Bilingual Program Implementation In this second session, campus administrators will explore the foundational components of effective Emergent Bilingual (EB) program implementation, including key elements of Bilingual and ESL programs. Participants will learn how to support program fidelity by aligning campus practices with district policies and state/federal requirements. The session will cover critical topics such as instructional models, staffing considerations, scheduling, student placement, and parent communication. Through practical examples and collaborative discussion, administrators will gain the tools needed to strengthen program systems, ensure compliance, and lead with confidence in meeting the academic and linguistic needs of EB students. Participants are expected to attend all four sessions to fully benefit from the academy experience.
