Statewide SLP Webinar 9- The Autistic Brain: Better Understanding = Better Outcomes - 35398
This interactive session will look at the latest brain research in autism to help SLPs recommend interventions and supports for better outcomes. Topics for the discussion will include (but are not limited to): trauma, language, behavior, learning, brain development, screen time, play, exercise, and new ideas for interventions. This session is aligned with the intervention component of the TEA-required self-assessment.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to summarize current brain research related to autism and its implications for language, behavior, and learning, identify the impact of factors such as trauma, screen time, play, and exercise on brain development in individuals with autism, and implement evidence-informed interventions and supports that align with current neuroscience to improve outcomes for individuals with autism.
