Connecting Communication and Instruction: Texas SPED Support Training and Implementation Practice - 36634

This course explores multiple considerations when developing and using communication aids, implementing strategies for teaching communication skills, and identifying ways to connect communication and instruction. Participants will engage in assistive technology station rotations. This training, developed by the Texas Education Agency, aligns with Quality Indicator V: Social Communication on the Rubric of Effective Practices for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities. Attendees will leave with tools and ideas for implementing the strategies discussed and have an option to sign up for follow-up coaching or implementation support.
