Explicit instruction is a structured, systematic, and direct approach to teaching that is especially effective for supporting all learners.

Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will describe explicit instruction and why it is important, as well as engage in content that describes how explicit instruction supports student learning. Participants will also learn to identity and use the features of effective modeling and student practice through specific classroom examples.
