ARD & LPAC Collaboration (Mansfield ISD) - 35088
This 3-hour training provides a comprehensive overview of the collaboration between the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee and the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC). Participants will explore legal requirements, best practices, and data-driven decision-making processes to ensure appropriate evaluation, placement, and service delivery for Emergent Bilingual students receiving special education services. The session includes practical guidance, real-world scenarios, and time for reflection and discussion.
This session is aligned with the Evaluation component of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to describe the roles and responsibilities of the ARD and LPAC committees, explain how to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines when serving Emergent Bilingual students in special education, and apply collaborative practices to support appropriate evaluation, placement, and service decisions.
