Substance Use Insights: Prevention in Practice-THC/Marijuana Use & Access - 36297
This session provides educators and counselors with up-to-date information on the forms these substances take, how today's high-potency products impact adolescent brain development, and the ways students commonly obtain them. Expert information from Recovery Resource Council will share indicators of use, trends in concealment, and practical school-based approaches to help reduce risks. We will also highlight communication strategies for talking with students and caregivers, as well as prevention resources available to campuses and districts.

Objectives
Participants will process current patterns of teen THC/Marijuana use, identify at least three common access points for youth, apply evidence-based strategies to prevent use in youth, and helpful strategies to intervene early when concerns may arise.
