Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) are instructional strategies representing the most significant changes needed to bridge the gap between research and practice. This fast-paced Math RBIS session will cover Balance Conceptual & Procedural, Depth of Key Concepts, Coherence of Key Concepts, and Productive Struggle. Participants will explore thinking differently about Math and what changes could benefit the students they serve.
Audiences
Central Office Administrators, Teacher - Early Childhood/PreK/Kindergarten, Teacher - Elementary (Grades 1-5), Teacher - ESL (English as a Second Language), Teacher - General Education, Assistant Principals, Instructional Coaches/Support Specialists, Principals, Teacher - High School (Grades 9-12), Teacher - Middle School (Grades 6-8)
Prerequisite/Special Notes
Please note that while anyone can attend, the location for this session is in Cleburne ISD.
Objectives
Participants will explore and identify instructional strategies to bridge the gap between research and practice in Math during a one-day session on Balance Conceptual & Procedural, Depth of Key Concepts, Coherence of Key Concepts, and Productive Struggle.
