Librarians and Local Authors Unite: Bringing Meaningful Experiences to Students K-6 - 34651
Come join local author, Angela Henderson Smith, as she shares how to bring authors into your school libraries, offering students an experience that they may not have outside of your creative collaboration. Angela taught English Language Arts for 13 years, so she knows the ins and outs of the school system. As an author, speaker, and writing coach, school visits are her main work and joy! She loves sharing her children's books with positive messages to K through 3rd. For 4th to 6th, Her niche is creating and conducting fun writing workshops with students! (These sessions are popular with the kids and ELA teachers.)
Angela also leads the North Texas SCBWI group (Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators), and highlights what other established writers offer in our area! She can't wait to share how she makes author visits easy for librarians and exciting for your students. This is a virtual event. Participants will be sent zoom link prior to the event.
