Implementation Support for HQIM: Using Observation Tools - 34440
This three-hour training session is designed to equip educational leaders with the essential skills to utilize the Observation Tool(s) within the framework of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM). Participants will learn strategies to document specific look-fors while observing teachers’ instruction and implementation of HQIM. The session will blend theoretical insights with practical applications, enabling leaders to use the Observation Tool(s) effectively as a resource for coaches. This session will also emphasize that the Observation Tool(s) is not an evaluation instrument but rather a support tool for enhancing instructional practices.

Prerequisite/Special Notes
This training is specific to the implementation of HQIM products and an agreement to receive year long support from Texas Lesson Study. This is the sixth of ten trainings for HQIM implementation.

By the end of this three-hour training session, educational leaders will develop the essential skills to effectively utilize the Observation Tool(s) within the framework of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM). They will acquire strategies to document specific look-fors during classroom observations, supporting teachers’ instruction and implementation of HQIM.
