Rooted in Meaning: Word Study Strategies for Secondary ELAR (6-12) - 34436
This session explores how meaningful word study can support literacy growth in the secondary ELAR classroom. Participants will learn why morphology is especially important for struggling readers. The session builds foundational knowledge in phonology, orthography, and morphology, helping teachers understand how words work. Educators will engage in practical activities and leave with strategies to help students decode, spell, and understand complex vocabulary with confidence.
