This professional development session aims to equip educators with research-based strategies for fostering students' conceptual understanding. Participants will delve into the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) Instructional Sequence, exploring its application in supporting Research-Based Interventions (RBIs). Through this exploration, educators will learn how to design a progression of learning that aligns with the CRA model, ensuring a structured approach to developing students’ mastery of concepts. Finally, educators will collaborate to create formative assessments that inform a student-centered plan for enhancing conceptual understanding and mastery, promoting individualized support for diverse learners.
