Scottish Rite for Children (SRC) Jet: A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention - 34112

Jet: A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention is an evidence-based dyslexia intervention program specifically designed for students aged fourteen and older who have been identified with dyslexia. Spanning one year, Jet provides a comprehensive approach to addressing the core components essential for reading success: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension. Jet employs a direct, systematic, and cumulative approach to instruction in each lesson. This session aligns with the dyslexia component of the TEA Self-Assessment.

Prerequisite/Special Notes
Participants must be a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) previously trained in SRC Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. Each participant is required to purchase Jet curriculum materials from Scottish Rite for Children. The materials cost is $485 per participant paid directly to Scottish Rite for Children.
Objectives
Participants will analyze and compare the components of Jet lessons with those of the Take Flight program, focusing on the differences in lesson delivery schedules. Participants will leverage their existing knowledge of the Take Flight program to enhance their effectiveness in delivering Jet lessons.
