Facilitating the IEP (Asynchronous Canvas Course) - 33564
Disagreements may occur in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings. Being equipped with facilitation skills or having an Individualized Education Program (IEP) facilitator available to guide the process benefits both parties. This training will review dispute resolutions, the facilitation process, the role of the IEP facilitator, and working toward consensus. This course is for anyone interested in leading ARDs as a neutral party to allow conversations that leave everyone satisfied with a positive outcome.
This session is aligned with the Child Find, FAPE, IEP Content, Properly Constituted ARD Committee, Teachers and Staff, and Connection to Family and School Climate components of the TEA-required self-assessment.
*This course runs six weeks at your own pace, with four assignments due for course credit. ALL COURSE CREDIT IS ISSUED AT THE CLOSE OF THE SESSION.
