North Texas Teen Book Festival Teacher Professional Development - Books, Books, Books: A Symposium for Educators @NTTBF 2024 - 32818

This session will feature amazing authors and guests who will share the best new books for readers and focus on practical and exciting ways to engage young readers from the upper elementary levels through high school. Join faculty from Sam Houston State University College of Education Library Science as they welcome very special guests Lois Lowry, Laurie Halse Anderson, Jerry Craft, Ruta Sepetys, John Shu, and more than three dozen MG and YA authors to North Texas! This all-day session (8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) will take place at the Irving Convention Center. We ask that educators do not bring children to Educator Day; NTTBF provides a free, all-day festival on Saturday, April 27, for readers of all ages. (Parking is $12.00 both days at the Irving Convention Center.) *This session is being facilitated by the North Texas Teen Book Festival team, and ESC Regions 10 and 11 are providing support and attendance confirmation.
