Putting Primary Sources First with ICS - 31252

Primary sources expose students to multiple perspectives on important topics and issues of the past and present, and they also help students develop critical inquiry skills. As a Consortium Member of the Library of Congress' Teaching with Primary Sources Program, ICS trainer-educators are well-versed in utilizing the LOC's digital source analysis tools. The presentation will introduce teachers to those tools and the many ways they can support their instruction. Through participating in activities that model analyzing a variety of types of primary sources in engaging ways, teachers will understand what primary sources are and their importance in a well-rounded learning environment. *The virtual link for participants will be emailed to you prior to the session.*
