Accelerated Learning Meets HB4545 for High School - 30846
Are you an educator who designs high school HB 4545 interventions? If so, then this session is for you. Research indicates that combining intervention with accelerated learning strategies significantly improves students performance over traditional remediation strategies. Trying to meet the stipulations of HB 4545, which require that you "deliver targeted TEKS-aligned instruction for the applicable grade level and subject area," is challenging in a high school setting, especially when students have moved from a general eighth-grade subject matter curriculum to specific courses within subjects at the high school level. This session is designed to dive into curriculum to identify standards to accelerate our high school learners. In addition, participants will explore strategies to create learning experiences differently so that students engage in the content, share the responsibility of the learning, and reach a higher quality of work -- all through the lens of accelerated learning.
