This session will explore the unique nature of Special Ed (IEP) counseling and how it differs from the general counseling offered to all students by the school counselor. Included will be evaluation instruments used to identify eligibility, developing IEP goals, group vs. individual counseling, monitoring progress, and determining when dismissal from counseling services is appropriate.
