We know that learners who engage in robust discussions about what they have learned are able to process information better as well as think about implementation at a deeper level (Cashin, 2011). Our focus for this discussion will be on building authentic academic responses. A very small population of students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities may not yet exhibit an authentic academic response; therefore, we invite you to share best practices for how you address this need amongst your small population of students.
