Engage by Design Content Series: Science Integrating Satellite Imagery, Animations, and Videos into Your Curriculum - 27591
Join Dr. Dodge from MSU as she shares resources for teachers to easily integrate exciting satellite imagery, image-based animations, and supporting videos into their curriculum. Teachers will preview learning activities designed to introduce students to satellite imagery from the perspective of scale and resolution. These activities use imagery from Texas State Parks to demonstrate change over time and landform identification. The workshop will include specific topics including ecosystems, wildfires, succession, weather and climate, seasons, landforms, natural hazards, erosion and deposition, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, glaciers, water resources, oceanography, agriculture, and pollution. Imagery, animation, and video resources from NASA, the U.S. Geological Survey, the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the US Forest Service for a portfolio of tools.
