Administrators and the Comprehensive School Counseling Program Trainer-of-Trainers - 27567
House Bill 18 imposed several new mandates that impact administrators and counselors. Specifically, TEC chapter 21.054(e) mandates that administrators must attend professional development, for continuing education requirements, which includes the effective implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program every five years. This one-hour session will address the key components of TEC chapter 33.005 as well as other mandates connected to this work. The session is designed as a trainer-of-trainer so that counselor leaders may provide the course to their administrators, as needed. Additionally, administrators may attend this session and meet the mandate requirements.
