Farm Fresh Summit - 23586
Education Service Center (ESC) Region 11, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), will present our second annual Farm Fresh Summit. This summit will discuss innovative ways to grow and include fresh foods in our children's diets, how to purchase the product direct from the source (procure), and how to support our local farms. Join us as we bring together local producers -- including farmers, farmers markets, and cattle/dairy/produce farmers as well as TDA experts -- to meet program operators (schools and Child and Adult Food Care Programs). The day will include a general session with breakouts on various topics, such as composting, aquaponics, gardens, produce safety, fresh herbs, Agrilife "Share the Plate," TDA resources, and so much more!
