Join us for this virtual training as we dive deeper into the world of McKinney-Vento. From consent to treatment, truancy prevention, discipline, and webpage requirements, there are many state provisions that are focused on supporting homeless children and youth. McKinney-Vento 201 will provide you with a review of these state provisions, examine how they support homeless children and youth, and outline your role in supporting this vulnerable population.

Objectives
Participants will be able to identify and explain key Texas state provisions related to consent to treatment, truancy prevention, student discipline, and district website requirements; analyze how these provisions support and protect children and youth experiencing homelessness; and identify at least one strategy for applying these requirements within their role.
