In this session, participants will explore the concept that behavior consists of observable and measurable actions. Behavior is learned; therefore, it serves a purpose or function. Recognizing the function of a behavior is essential for designing effective interventions. Participants will examine how this understanding aligns with and strengthens practices within a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, supporting proactive and data-driven approaches to student behavior.
