CTE and Advanced Academics Instructional Leaders Workshop - 36391
This workshop is comprised of three individual modules designed to help instructional coaches, leaders, and department leads provide guidance and coaching to classroom teachers. The WICOR module is designed for participants to engage in a collaborative setting to identify key components of WICOR and evaluate implementation of WICOR strategy use within their school site. The Inquiry module is designed to give participants a better understanding of three strategies (KWLA graphic organizer, Costa’s Levels of Thinking, and Philosophical Chairs) that can be implemented immediately to expand the use of inquiry within their classrooms. The Coaching Rigor Through WICOR module is designed to equip participants with the tools and strategies necessary to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction for all students. Participants will begin by establishing a clear and actionable definition of rigor that can set a foundation at their sites. The module will transition into best practice instructional strategies, examining how these methods can be harnessed to foster rigorous learning environments.
