Gainesville ISD: Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) for Math - 35624
Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) represent the most significant shifts needed to bridge the gap between research and practice in mathematics instruction. This session is designed specifically for educators in Strong Foundations Math districts implementing Bluebonnet Mathematics instructional materials. It introduces four Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) that represent essential shifts in bridging research and practice: Balancing Conceptual and Procedural Understanding, Developing the Depth of Key Concepts, Building Coherence of Key Concepts, and Supporting Productive Struggle. This fast-paced day will provide an overview of each strategy, opportunities to reflect on instructional impact, and next steps aligned to the curriculum.

Objectives
Participants will explore and identify the four high-impact instructional strategies that support the implementation of Strong Foundations Math materials. They will identify how these strategies appear in their curriculum and consider ways to adjust instruction to better support student learning.
