Symbols to Sentences and Community-Based Instruction for Students with Complex Access Needs - 35572
This professional learning session is for teachers supporting students with complex access needs. In this workshop, participants will explore five key areas to building a strong literacy foundation: Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) & Fun Activities, Technology, Multisensory Learning, Personalized Learning, and Tech Tools for Everyday Life. Participants will identify why and how to make community based instruction happen in and out of the classroom in a meaningful way that will positively impact student outcomes.

Teacher - Special Education, Transition Specialists to Transition Personnel, Charter School Personnel, Speech Therapists, Teacher - ESL (English as a Second Language)

Objectives
By the end of this workshops, participants will be able to identify 3 literacy skills for students with complex needs.
By the end of this workshops, participants will be able to develop community based vocational instruction and 18-plus programming for transition readiness.
