STAAR Accessibility & Designated Supports: An Immersive Experience - 34698

STAAR assessment accessibility features and designated supports ensure that students with specific needs have equitable access to testing. These accommodations may include text-to-speech, content and language supports, word prediction, and spell check. This interactive training will provide testing coordinators and teachers with an overview of available supports and student eligibility requirements. Participants will then have an immersive opportunity to engage in a simulated practice test, experiencing the accommodations as students do. By understanding firsthand how these supports are delivered, educators will gain valuable insights into the student experience.
