Cohort-2: Dyslexia Assessment Essentials: GORT-5 & CTOPP-2 Overview - 34532

In this session, participants will be instructed on how to administer the following assessments that may be used for the evaluation of dyslexia: - Gray Oral Reading Test, 5th (GORT-5): An Oral Reading Fluency and Comprehension assessment - Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing, 2nd (CTOPP-2): A test that measures phonological awareness, phonological memory, and naming This session is aligned with the Dyslexia and Evaluation components of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Please bring test kits and a protocol for each of the tests (at least one per district). This session is only for participants who are part of cohort 2 of the Dyslexia Therapist Training Program
Objectives
Participants will correctly demonstrate administration procedures for the GORT-5, as measured by role-play and peer feedback. Participants will accurately score a sample GORT-5 protocol, aligning their results with the answer key provided during the session. In addition, participants will correctly administer and score the CTOPP-2, adhering to standardization protocols.
