By the end of this session, participants will review the changes in the updated Dyslexia Handbook, 2024 related to emergent bilingual students. Participants will explore the process of second language acquisition, learn about the benefits of bilingualism, identify the various types of alphabetic systems that exist around the world, and discuss instructional programming for emergent bilingual students.
