Foundations for Literacy: A Reading Curriculum for Young Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing - 34471
Foundations for Literacy (FFL) is a language- and experience-based literacy curriculum that has been researched and developed for young students who are deaf and hard of hearing. This curriculum is intended to be implemented by classroom Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing on a daily basis. The focus of this curriculum is to develop alphabetic knowledge, phonological awareness, vocabulary, language learning, and literacy skills (reading comprehension) in young children (Early Childhood through First Grade). Speech-language pathologists and paraprofessionals can assist with the implementation of this curriculum. Registration for this session is by application only.
