In this professional development session, teachers will engage with active reading strategies designed to help students unlock the meaning of complex texts. Moving beyond traditional annotation techniques, participants will learn new methods to guide students through challenging material, ensuring that all learners—especially struggling readers—can engage deeply with texts. Through hands-on activities and collaborative planning, teachers will discover how to scaffold complex readings, build student confidence, and foster critical thinking.
