Balancing and Connecting Conceptual and Procedural Understanding of Fractions: Grades 3-7 - 33934

In this professional learning session, mathematics educators will deepen their content knowledge of the learning progression for fraction thinking for students in grades three through seven. This session will provide educators with valuable hands-on experiences to build students’ conceptual understanding of fractions and related mathematical tasks. With this knowledge, educators will be better equipped to make instructional decisions on students' reasoning, explanations, and use of visual representations to balance conceptual and procedural fluency.
