Camp Literacy: Aligning your Reading Block through the Science of Reading - 30711
In this three-part literacy experience, educators will learn how to implement best practices for planning the literacy day. Texas is forging forward toward the Science of Reading. This comprehensive workshop will equip you with all of the tools and strategies needed to have successful literacy instruction aligned with the Science of Reading. Through make-and-takes, informational sessions, and collaborative activities, you will walk away with everything you need in your toolbox to help your students soar. Topics covered include Guided Reading, Word Study, Comprehension, Fluency, and MORE!
Day 1 (1/17/23) covers Phonological Awareness, Word Study, and Fluency.
Day 2 (1/31/23) covers Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Small Group Instruction.
Day 3 (2/7/23) covers Small Group Instruction and Writing.
This session is recommended for K-3 teachers.
