Writing Appropriate Measurable Postsecondary Goals - 29503

The purpose of this virtual training session is to give educators the information and tools needed to write appropriate, measurable postsecondary goals as part of a student's transition plan. Learning to write these goals is the foundation for building quality transition services for students with disabilities. During this session, educators will learn: * The requirements for writing appropriate, measurable postsecondary goals within the transition process * The difference between postsecondary goals and annual goals within the Individualized Education Program (IEP) * How to write appropriate, measurable postsecondary goals based on individual student needs and age-appropriate transition assessments

Prerequisite/Special Notes
Research indicates that training with a coaching component can lead to improved teacher practice and student outcomes. Coaching will be offered as follow-up support for Writing Appropriate Measurable Postsecondary Goals January 2023.
