I C.A.N. (Complex Access Needs) Access Technology and a New World with Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) - 28618
This session will cover multiple parts of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC). The morning will focus on assistive technology and the afternoon will encompass other areas of the ECC. The earner will explore easy ways that students with Complex Access Needs are able to use technology for skills such as cause and effect, making choices, and engaging with stories. Pictures and/or videos of actual students using the technology will be included during the presentation. The learner will explore various online extension activities available for teaching the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC). Activities will focus on money management, banking, sensory on the go, interview skills, etiquette resources, task bags (self-determination, recreation, and leisure), assistive technology, and live binders. We will also be discussing various grants to help fund new and exciting ECC activities.
