Engage by Design Content Series Science: Corn in the Classroom - 27822
Corn in the Classroom by Texas Corn Producers is a K-5 curriculum that uses agricultural concepts to teach science. With many students unaware of where their food and fiber come from, these lessons help fill that gap while meeting science TEKS standards. Corn in the Classroom is available in a traditional format, includes online versions of activities, and will soon be available in Spanish. In this free, online interactive workshop, you will receive an introduction to the research behind Corn in the Classroom along with lesson demonstrations under the guidance of Dr. Leigha Pate, who is a teacher and Texas Corn Producers curriculum developer. Participants will also receive supplies to implement these lessons in their own classroom!
