The Speech-Language Pathology Summer Conference 2021 is a one-day event dedicated to providing professional development to ESC Region 11 Speech-Language Pathologists and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. This year, Scott Prath, M.A., CCC-SLP, will present Ethical Management of the SLP's Workload: A Focus on Literacy and Classroom Curriculum. Mr. Prath will outline a three-year study conducted in a large suburban district examining caseload, workload as well as assessment and dismissal procedures. He will discuss the results of this study and provide a framework for ethically managing the workload of a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Mr. Prath will also discuss service delivery options that foster collaboration, connection, and generalization.
