Learning, Collaborating, and Networking Session for Educational Audiologists (ONSITE SESSION) - 24412

MORNING SESSION: Utilizing Remote Services in Educational Audiology - It's Not Just "Better Than Nothing" presented by Dr. Sarah Florence There are many situations/settings in which remote services are best practice within Educational Audiology, some of which may be surprising. Three major models of remote service implementation will be discussed along with service considerations and remote technology tools. An application for 0.3 CEUs is pending approval from the Texas Academy of Audiology. AFTERNOON SESSION: This portion of the session will provide training in evidence-based practices for the delivery of services to students who are deaf and hard of hearing and opportunities for networking with other Educational Audiologists. CEUs will not be available for the afternoon portion of this session.

Objectives
Participants will gain familiarity with three models of remote service implementation in the Educational Audiology field: remote only, remote/onsite hybrid, remote support of onsite audiologist. Participants will discuss service considerations in the school setting. Participants will discuss remote technology tools available for use within schools. Participants will network with other local Educational Audiologists.
