This full-day, hands-on workshop will help ASCENDER users understand how system setup and student data work together to calculate GPA accurately. We know some districts currently hand-calculate GPAs or rely heavily on manual processes. This workshop will help you better understand the tools available in ASCENDER and how to use the system to your advantage. Participants will explore key settings and processes within ASCENDER that impact GPA calculations, including course setup, credit information, GPA eligibility, and calculation options. Hands-on activities and practice scenarios will help participants learn how to review, troubleshoot, and validate GPA results. Participants are encouraged to bring their district’s local grading, GPA, and class rank policies to compare with their ASCENDER setup.
