Fall into Success with the Right Resources (McKinney-Vento Resource Fair) - 37029
The McKinney-Vento Resource Fair is an event that facilitates connections between School Systems and local community providers across all Region 11 counties. The focus of this fair is to support students and families experiencing homelessness or in transition, in collaboration with local community providers who will showcase their services. You will have the opportunity to meet representatives from emergency housing assistance, counseling, healthcare, transportation, and other essential support systems.
Audiences
Charter School Personnel, Counselors, Federal Program Directors/Coordinators, McKinney-Vento, Mental Health professionals, Directors, LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology), School Health Personnel
Objectives
The participants will use the school system's student data trends to identify the specific needs of students designated as McKinney-Vento, establish connections with at least 3 community resource partners that can provide the necessary support and services to address the identified needs of McKinney-Vento students, and implement a referral process to connect 100% of the school system's McKinney-Vento students with the identified community resources and services.
